Legacy Café, Whitebird Lounge and Everything Wine this February to bring festival goers on a journey called Sips ‘n’ Cinema that will expand your palate as well as your mind.

Take a trip to the theatre to see the selected film, then move to the Legacy Art Gallery or Whitebird Lounge for an evening of beverage tasting, hors d’oeuvres and engaging discussion of the film you’ve just seen.

The fabulous staff of Everything Wine will be on hand at the Legacy to lead an informative wine tasting for Sips 'n' Cinema 1, while an Italian Cocktail tasting is on offer at Whitebird for the second installment. Our intrepid film festival Programmer, Donovan Aikman, will lead a discussion on the ideas, techniques and often challenging problems both films present.


Entrance to the film and discussion at the Legacy Art Gallery or Whitebird Lounge afterward is just $20.

Excited: Saturday, February 6 at Capitol 6 Theatre 6, 2:00pm. After the movie, meet at the Legacy Art Gallery for wine tasting and discussion at 4:00pm.

Perfect Day: Sunday, February 7 at Capitol 6 Theatre 6, 2:00pm. After the movie, meet at Whitebird Lounge for Italian Cocktail tasting and discussion, 4:00pm.

The Legacy Art Gallery offers a welcoming combination of contemporary art gallery, café and gift shop and is located at 630 Yates Street in downtown Victoria.

Whitebird Lounge's modern decor, fantastic food and massive martini list make it one of the capital region's hottest spots for dinner and drinks. Whitebird is located at 768 Yates Street in downtown Victoria.
